| SHAILESH CHAPHEKAR question : My second question--
My zen recently had a rusting problem below the windshield causing water to be collected on the left side of the front side.
The repair has been done but the damp smell in the car just doesn't seem to go.
The carpet does not seem to be wet, but the smell looks like being trapped.
Its very irritating.
Can you suggest what should i do?
Thanks |
| Indiacar's answer : Shailesh, have the carpet removed for thorough drying, this will release the smell from the carpets. You could drive the car with bare metal below feel without the carpet and reinstall it. Driving the car in this condition cold mean a health hazard. later you could sprinkle disinfectants viz. dettol. |

| Shailesh Chaphekar question : I have a new 2010 honda city and an 2005 ZEN.
I drive the zen everyday to office approx a total 40 KM up-down. The city is more family car and daily driven by my wife for approx 12 km up-down.
I'm looking for a substitute for my zen, not more than 6Lakhs, but more wonderfully engineered like the Honda City.
More fuel efficient.
Modern car.
One with low maintenance, ease of service centre access in Mumbai and preferably made for Indian traffic style, unlike the GM cars where the headlight and wiper operations are still for a left hand drive.
Can you suggest? |
| Indiacar's answer : Shailesh, I would recommend among the i10, swift & polo as the good city cars meant for indian conditions except that the polo too has the European lighting controls |

| Swapnil Barhate question : Hi, I am looking to buy a diesel sedan in range of 13 - 14 lakhs. I found Chevy Cruze LT as a good match. I looked up the other cars in this segment viz. Altis Diesel G and any Skoda Laura.. Chevy is much cheaper than this 2 cars. Do you think Cruze is a value for money or should I consider other 2 cars. Any other cars you feel I should look at? My drive would be on highways of Gujarat state. I want a maintenance free car and reliable car. Which one would you suggest? Thanks |
| Indiacar's answer : Swapnil, the Cruise is technically a good car not supported as efficiently by its service network compard to the networkk of toyota or for the matter of fact the Skoda. The toyota has a better resale value and would ideally mean a value for money car. |

| ravi question : can u please tell me about the maruthi new estilo car. as i came to know very few people purchased it. can u give some light on it |
| Indiacar's answer : Ravi, the Estilo is not a bad car. It is just that the engine is 1.0 litre engine and in the segment you have other cars (wagonr, Santro) with bigger engine displacement and power, people prefer better power. The estilo is a good compact car for the price, for city and highway conditions. |

akash chandra |
